Everly Design Co is Making Atlanta Homes Stand Out Through Exceptional Home Staging

Your Coach Meg business client spotlight with Everly Design Co

Everly Design Co Is Making Atlanta Homes Stand Out Through Home Staging, Furniture Leasing and their Prop Shop.

I had the pleasure of meeting Ricci Taylor and Kelley Bowden of Everly Design Co this past spring when I led a series of workshops for Olive and Opal Interiors Home Staging Business Intensive. They were in need of a business coach who could help them streamline their processes, clear away their overwhelm, and help them build a solid foundation for their business so they could keep up with the growth they were experiencing.

I am thrilled to say that we have been working together ever since and it has been a joy to see the progress we have made in such a short period of time. While their business demands so much of their time and energy, they have prioritized our work together and have had incredible success to show for it.

I am excited for you to meet Ricci and Kelley today and learn more about their fabulous brand. They have carved a unique niche in the home staging world and it truly is an honor to be on their team, guiding them every step of the way.

When did you start your business + how has it changed/grown since you first started?

Everly first launched in Denver in 2016 and expanded to Atlanta at the end of 2020. We have grown from a team of two best friends with a dream to a team of 12! Everly has grown from the new kid on the block in Atlanta to one of the top home staging companies in the state. We are so proud of our team and the growth over the past few years.

Tell us about yourself and your business:

We are a female owned home staging company in Atlanta, Georgia. We specialize in home staging services and help sellers and realtors through the home sale preparation process.

What is unique about what you do, or what sets you apart within your industry or niche?

We also offer furniture leasing services where stagers, realtors, set designers etc. can shop our warehouse, rent our furniture, art and decor… and we deliver! We believe in collaboration over competition and welcome small businesses to partner with us on projects.

When you first contacted Meg for coaching, what did you need help with?

We were going through a HUGE growing pain - in a way, we grew too quickly. We needed to take a step back as business owners and focus on the big picture instead of working in our business so much. We also needed help getting through differences as business owners and best friends while being held accountable.

What made you decide to start coaching with Meg?

We actually met Meg at a 3 day business intensive in St. Louis with Olive and Opal. We were lucky enough to hear Meg speak at the event and we both instantly said to one another "we need Meg in our lives!"

What have you enjoyed the most about your time working with Meg?

Meg is super real and authentic. She simplifies things for you, allows you to be vulnerable...in fact she encourages it. She is able to give tough love in a way that is motivating...Hiring Meg is the best decision we made in 2023!

What aspect of your coaching relationship had the greatest positive impact on your business?

Can't say this enough but Meg's authenticity is SO refreshing. I think Meg has the ability to break down walls. Her consistency, follow ups, and homework show how much she cares and are what truly impact the business. We never want to show up to a session without homework complete. Sure, sometimes it takes us longer than we would like to implement or complete something Meg is suggesting we do, but once we set the goal and with her guidance, accomplish it...there is such a positive feeling of achievement! One of the greatest positive impacts on our business this year was Meg helping us learn our capacity. It seriously has changed everything.

What growth have you noticed, both personally and professionally, since working with Meg?

Personally Meg has helped us understand the value in work / life balance and healthy boundaries. She's allowed a safe place for us to develop a healthier balance. We have launched several new areas of our company including Everly Prop Shop! We have grown our team and we have also learned a lot about letting go, delegating and learning how to carve out time for us to dive into big picture conversations.

For someone thinking about coaching with Meg, how would you encourage them that THIS is the move to make for their business?

Don't think, just do it! It is truly a breath of fresh air to have someone outside your business looking in to give you advice. Meg has the knowledge, insight and mindset to truly help you grow your business in a way that is best for you and your lifestyle!

What are you looking forward to in your business in the next year?

We are so excited to see what this next year brings and are most excited to collaborate with other small businesses through our prop shop and furniture leasing program while building better processes for our current loyal staging clients.

Anything else you'd like to add about you, your business or working with Meg?

We LOVE Meg and are so grateful for all the guidance she has given us this year. We can't wait to continue working with her in the new year!

Working with Ricci and Kelley on their business has been a privilege. What an honor to be alongside them as they move into this powerful new season of growth for their team and brand. I love that they are outside-the-box thinkers and that they take pride in the exceptional service and leadership they provide. Hearing them say that hiring me is the best decision they made in 2023 has me beaming! Gosh, I could not ask for a bigger compliment from this amazing, dynamic duo.
