Elizabeth “Bus” Baker is a self-taught mixed media artist specializing in acrylics, stained glass, and metal works.
In her current series of paintings,
“Light and Cobblestones,” Elizabeth explores the interplay of light and color through generous layers, bold gestures, and organic shapes.
In her series of metal works, she uses scrap metal and wood construction materials to create fun and imaginative pieces.
“Sunlight is a fundamental theme in my artistic vision. As a child, I loved the stained-glass windows my Grandfather made as a hobby. I loved how warm sunbeams shined through the glass, casting brightly colored "sunny spots" on the floor. As an artist, I strive to capture light and color in my own work.”
